'Delivering Portage in the Early Years Foundation Stage' aims to:
 
  • broaden knowledge of the EYFS
  • support delivery of Portage in the EYPS, emphasising :
            - assessment
 
            - target setting
 
            - record keeping
 
  • consider the opportunities and challenges of doing this
  • share examples of good practice
  • provide an opportunity to network.
 
This will be a lively interactive workshop, suitable for all all Portage practitioners. It wil be lead by Claire Findlay and Irene Westerman.
 
There is no charge for the day as it is part of the NPA/DfE project and lunch will be provided.

The URCCB module of the PCPD has been organised in Swindon on October 13th 2010.
 
This module builds on aspects of the Portage Basic Workshop and will be of interest to all Portage home visitors, parents or other professionals with a special interest in this area.
 
The tutors for this URCCB course will be John Parry and Ruth Norman.
 
There is no charge for the day as it is part of the NPA/DfE project and lunch will be provided.

This day is an opportunity for Portage services in the region to come together to hear about work being undertaken by the NPA on their behalf, to network with neighbouring services and take time to share issues and developments within their services.
Specific topics which will be introduced on the day are:
☺ Findings from the research undertaken into Early Support Key-working within Portage services
☺ Inclusion, Equality and Diversity in Portage
