Annual Conference
Conference is the high point of the National Portage Association’s calendar. It takes place over a weekend in early autumn and both residential and day places are eagerly sought by both families and practitioners. The venue is currently, the Northampton Hilton – where luxury accommodation and delegates’ comfort is of prime importance.
During the weekend information and ideas from a wide range of early years’ practice is shared and exchanged through topical main speakers, seminars and workshops delivered by both parents and professionals. For the children who attend Conference, there are fun activities and play provided through the professionally staffed crèches and trained swimming instructors.
The social side of Conference is very important and there are many opportunities over the weekend to catch up with friends of long standing and to also meet new friends.
