NPA Visit Parliament - Sense Play Inquiry Report Launch

The Case for Play - The Sense Public Inquiry

NPA were invited to the Sense ‘Making the Case for Play’ report launch last week. Following the Play Inquiry, Sense celebrated in style with a ‘play in’ Parliament for children and families. It was lovely to see children playing in Parliament and great to hear from Chairs of the inquiry Lord David Blunkett and Lesley Rogers about the importance of play for all children.

We had wonderful feedback from parents during the event about their experience of Portage and are thrilled to see Portage mentioned throughout the report and as a key recommendation for National Government;

“Developmental Play services such as Portage should become a statutory service for disabled children…”                                                                                    Sense Play Logo

‘Thank you’ to anyone that took part and sent in a response to the inquiry.
