Portage and Early Years Development Day

Following demand, we have managed some re-negotiation with the venue and are pleased to be able to extend the date for bookings to this event. The closing date for bookings is now Friday 17th September 2021.

We are very pleased to be offering another Development Day in November this year for practitioners to come together in a stimulating environment to learn and share. 

Registration will be open from 10.00am (for a 10.30am start) and the day will close at 4.30pm.

This year’s Keynote speech ‘BUT WHO’S LOOKING AFTER ME?’ will be delivered by Tom Milson and Dr Iva Roberts and is on the hot topic of Mental wellbeing & resilience in work with vulnerable young people, there will be an opportunity to attend another 2 seminars on a range of topics and spend time networking with colleagues.

The seminars on offer are:-

  • Identifying & Supporting SEND in the context of the EYFS reforms – delivered by Kerry Payne
  • Breaking down the complex relationships between communication, sensory and challenging behaviours – delivered by Andrew Ryder
  • The inclusion, education and development of children with Down syndrome – delivered by Wendy Uttley
  • Understanding Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) – delivered by Sarah Mason and Dr Gillian Harris

The cost is £125.00 + VAT for NPA members and £160 + VAT for non-members, including refreshments and lunch.  (Non-members please note, membership is £35 for the year and you can join easily here
