As a service we would like to recruit some volunteers. We have been approached by 2 qualified and experienced people and want to ensure things are done properly! I have found the 'Guide for Portage services on managing volunteers' which has been helpful. 

Do any other services have volunteers and how do you manage them from a local authority perspective?

Any advice about policies and procedures, paying expenses, job descriptions, attending meetings and training would be appreciated.
